Humana Inc, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is one of the largest publicly traded health benefits companies in the USA, with approximately 7 million medical members located primarily in 15 states and Puerto Rico.

 

Customer Interface , the application involves handling of the different feeds coming from CMS, third party vendors, automated enrollment team and automated mapping team for members under Medicare, Medicaid and commercial line of business. Project involves smooth transmission of the legacy data to the vendors and downstream systems. Also work on enhancements, changes according to the government or CMS regulations. . It acts as the source for the downstream systems like claims acquisition system(CAS), EDW, SOLAR and ODS. This system combines the enrollment from different enrollment HUMANA system into one single consistent and easily accessible repository. Currently working on demo dual and Medicaid projects, Demo dual is new business for Humana and we are building up dual system from scratch.

Accurately administering this process requires a consistent detailing of MA compensation rule changes or exceptions; contributor, industry, campaign, or Senior Management discretionary decisions, and follow-up maintenance. With a payout, only four times per year, follow-up maintenance and month-to-month management are essential to staying ahead of the curve.

 

To provide accurate quarterly payment of incentives to the assigned MA direct sales regions. These instructions provide a basis from which to align but are intended to change as required. Sales region alignment, incentive plan design, corporate policy/guidelines, and target markets all impact these instructions

Corporate Cards is a product offered by American Express to its Corporate Clients, which enables them to provide their employees with Credit Cards for meeting business expenses. The CM/CARS system takes care of all the required activities relating to the Corporate Cards for the US, Canadian, and Latin American regions. Following are the key functionalities of the CM/CARS System:

 

The CM/CARS application is built on the Mainframe system and most of its functionalities are based on the IMS DB/DC System. It makes use of IMS Online Screens for all its Setup and Maintenance functions. These details are fed into the IMS Databases, which is its main data repository.

 

The CM daily process deals with the setup and maintenance of the Corporate Accounts, which is performed on a daily basis. The CARS daily process the daily activities of a Cardholder that includes debits, payments, etc. These details are received as input from the Financial Capture System. All these are updated on a daily basis on the Corporate Databases.

 

The Billing and Statement processes are performed on a cyclic basis, wherein each card member is billed and statements are issued out with details of all activities performed on the card for the billing cycle. The functions that are performed, such as those which run monthly, weekly etc are mainly for reporting purposes.
